Eudlo public hall is owned by the Eudlo community, in the name of Eudlo Public Hall and Recreation Grounds Association Inc.
The management committee meets in the hall (19 Rosebed St Eudlo) on the third Monday of the month (except in January). The meeting is open to the community from 7pm. We are delighted when interested community members attend. Our AGM is in September.
Currently a group of 7 community members volunteer their time on the committee to manage maintenance and hire of the hall and the 5 acre grounds at Highlands Road, “Wominjeka”. We appreciate the help from time to time, of some other community members.
We also auspice some concerts and our Monthly Musos on the first Sunday afternoon of each month, to enhance life in the community, and to raise some funds for hall expenses.
Getting involved with hall activities is a great way to get to know what is going on in our community and to contribute your ideas for improvement of the facilities and for activities you might like to see in the hall and at the grounds.
Eudlo Hall Musos
Cost: gold coin donation.
Afternoon tea, bar and snacks for sale.
We’ll have a bit of fun at Eudlo Hall Musos open mic, by looking back at 1967! Yes it’s 50 years since Sergeant Peppers and that “summer of love”… weren’t there so many memorable musical events from that time*? So if you’d like to enjoy the late 60s with us bring along a song or two from that period, or just come to enjoy the afternoon, and do it in costume if you really want to have extra fun – we’ll have a costume prize and a music prize for the day! We’ll start at 1pm but we’re anticipating going beyond 4pm – perhaps to 5, if there are enough performers wanting to play.
*Wikipedia is full of popular music events of that year, and here are some of the album releases…
And if we extend that list to take in music from the 60s through to and including the 70s, we’d capture some of the greatest popular/folk/jazz/rock etc music of all time. See what you can come up and if you have ideas or want to play a part in the day, please come back to us. We probably won’t have the time to realise your fantasy but perhaps you might have?
Afternoon tea and snacks for sale.
Dandyman and Ruby Rubberlegs
Take a dash of Mr Bean, throw in a pinch of Jim Carey, a handful of Frank Woodley, cross Salvadore Dali with Jerry Lewis, throw in some juggling balls, a bowtie made of straws and a whole lot of charisma and you’ve arrived somewhere in the neighborhood of Dandyman. Combining comedy, top-notch circus skills and blending them all into something entirely fresh and just a little bit chaotic.
Be amazed, bemused, confused and enthralled as the ever glamorous, Queen of Body Manipulation and Contortion, Ruby Rubberlegs (Rani Huszar) presents a romantic comedy of errors. Ruby invites you all into her enjoyable wacky world of exceptional impossibilities.
